Postcard From A River

  Pardon the re-construction and Welcome to Postcard From A River- the Connecticut, a celebration of the river from source to sea in all seasons.  The project’s aim is to produce an HD documentary about the river as a whole as it wends through our four New England states. A standard definition pilot was shot in 2004-5 and attempts were made to find funding and distribution. There was considerable interest in broadcasting a completed piece as well as interest from several environmental non-profits and river organizations to use the film in their efforts.  I am currently in the process of re-starting the project with two significant changes. First, instead of a purely visual treatment of the river, the scope has been broadened to include a wide range of stories  found along the river and it may be lengthened to include several installments. It is a long river after all- 410 miles. Secondly, camera technology has greatly improved since the first pilot film and the river will look even more spectacular in the latest in HD production quality.
